ATTENTION!
FCAC now uses skills testing for all juniors wanting placement or
to move up to intermediate and advanced level classes.
In the past we have seen a large difference in student ability levels participating in the same class. With testing, we assure that each junior will have a certain proficiency level to maintain the quality level for each class. Testing will also help juniors to set better goals and work on improving all their skills. From the first day of class, they will know the requirements to move up to the next level. Goal of each class level is to advance the players to the next level.
- For special testing times or first-time testing, a junior can schedule a hour private lesson period on a Saturday or Sunday. Cost: $40.00 (cash or check only). Some weekday times available based on the tester's schedule.
- The skills test will be made up of several parts. Juniors must pass each part to pass the exam. If all parts are passed except one part, he or she will be given one more opportunity to pass that part at the end of the testing session
- In addition, a passing SSV score is required for admittance to the intermediate/advanced programs. See chart below.
- Juniors not passing an exam must wait 30 days/one month before re-testing.
- Only those parts not passed will be required on the re-testing. In other words, you will not have to re-test for those parts that have already been passed.
- SSV Re-testing scheduled once a month on Saturdays and Sundays - see dates listed below. Some weekdays available based on tester's schedule. Juniors must sign-up in advance.
- For players re-testing the SSV on the scheduled Sat/Sun times, cost is $10.00 per participant.
- For players re-testing the SSV and parts of the Skills Test (with only a few items to pass), cost is $20/half-hour(30 minutes).
- For players re-teseting the SSV and many parts of the Skills Test, a one-hour private exam required.

Times: Noon-12:45pm & 12:45pm-1:30pm.

SSV Scores required for admittance to programs:
C-6 & C-4A = 70-79
C-7 & C-5A = 80-89
C-9 & C-8B = 90-99
C-8A = 100-109
C-10 = 110 or more
